Prosperity Consciousness: Create Your Day Part 7 of 12

Black woman waking up in bed

“What if, before you got out of bed and began your day, you took the time to ask yourself one simple question? “What is the greatest ideal of myself that I can be today?” If you were patient enough to wait for an answer, you would begin to think differently than if you just woke up and remembered yourself as the same person from the day before.”

Dr. Joe Dispenza.

Do you realize that our common thoughts create our day right from the moment we wake up in the morning?  Some times we bring things with us from our dream state that might not be pleasant and if we don’t look at them and shift them they will carry through our day.  Other times we are still thinking about something that happened the day before and that can be the thing that sets the tone for our day.  There is a constant dialog going on in your mind all day long.

We have a choice about what our day will look like.  From the mind-set of prosperity consciousness we can choose how our day unfolds by setting the tone before we get out of bed. We can essentially program that dialog that goes on all day.  There are two ways to do that.  One is actually deciding what you want your day to look like and the other, called segment intending, can change how your day is going during the day.

It can go something like this:

“When you rise in the morning, in that twilight time before you get out of bed, contemplate a statement that affirms the person you want to be. Here are some examples:

  • I am unconditionally loving and lovable…
  • I am prosperous beyond my needs and generous without limit…
  • I am intelligent and wise: all problems that come to me are solved quickly and easily…
  • I am a planetary healer: all that I turn my hand to brings perfect healing…
  • I am fully connected to all of life…
  • I am abundantly creative in every aspect of my life.

Let one of these affirmations, or one that you make up, be your first thought upon waking and your last thought of the day as you fall asleep. Speak it to yourself, feel it, dwell on its meaning, allow it to thrill and warm you. Then let Consciousness do its work all through the day. See how your affirmation will manifest as you go about your daily life.

In this way you co-create with the Universe who you want to be. And you spiritualize everything in your experience.” Dr. Joe Dispenze from “What the Bleep Do We Know?”

Isn’t it great to know that you can lay in bed and visualize how your day is going to go and have control of how it turns out?

Abraham-Hicks has another process that will help you set the tone of your day and also shift it throughout the day.  It is called Segment Intending.

“Segment Intending is the process whereby you define the vibrational characteristics of the time segment you are moving into. It is a way of pre-paving your vibrational path, so to speak, for easier and more enjoyable travel.

If you are in a bad mood, meaning that there is considerable resistance in your vibrational frequency, then, because you do not have access to very different thoughts from where you currently are, you usually project that same vibrational expectation into the segment that you are moving into. For that reason, we encourage the application of Segment Intending when you are already feeling good. If you are feeling bad in this moment, try one of the other processes in order to improve your current mood and point of attraction. And then once you are feeling better, you could return to this powerful Segment Intending process.

This process will help you be more deliberate about focusing your thoughts. It will help you become more aware of where your thoughts currently are, and it will help you be able to more deliberately choose the thoughts that you offer. In time, it will feel very natural to you to stop for a moment upon entering a new segment and direct your own intent or expectation.

You enter a new segment anytime your intentions change: If you are washing dishes and the telephone rings, you enter a new segment. When you get into your vehicle, you enter a new segment. When another person walks into the room, you enter a new segment.

If you will take the time to get your thought of expectation started even before you are inside your new segment, you will be able to set the tone of the segment more specifically than if you walk into the segment and begin to observe it as it already is.

It works because we as humans have a frontal lobe/cortex to our brain.   This part of our brain carries out higher mental processes such as thinking, decision making, and planning.  Because of the size of the human frontal lobe, you have the privilege of making thought more real than anything else.

When you close your eyes and block out the other stimuli from your external world, you can create a new image of yourself without distraction just by going within. When you are focused and pay attention, there comes a moment when your brain does not know the difference between what is real in the external world and what you imagine in your mind.  It is a point where you can tell your brain anything and it will believe it.

In fact, the thoughts you are embracing will become just like a real life experience in your mind. The moment this occurs, your brain up-scales its hardware to reflect what you’re imaging and intentionally thinking about. Consequently when you change your mind, you change your brain, and when you change your brain, you change your mind.

The mind is like software in a computer.  Our experiences create pathways and behaviors and responses come through those pathways based on that experience.  What you are doing when you practice creating your day in a new and prosperous way you are creating new neuro-pathways.  The more you practice the stronger they will become.

You might want to create a phrase or use the ones above and start experimenting with creating prosperity in your life the moment you wake up each day.

As an experiment try a week of using either of these tools and see what happens.  I would love to hear about your experience!

See you again in Part 8 of this Prosperity Consciousness series.
