Prosperity Consciousness: Imagining and Visioning Prosperity Part 5 of 12

“What you can do or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it.”

Our imagination is a key component to creating prosperity and our mind is a powerful tool if we give it the right information. Our mind wants to create and it will create what you are thinking about most, whether it is something you want or something you don’t want.  I say let’s create a fun, blissful story of living a prosperous life!

We want to create prosperity mentally first.  It has been estimated that success may be as much as ninety-eight percent mental preparation and only two percent outer action.  You have to prepare the groundwork for the Law of Attraction to work they way you want it too.  You can see why it is important to give you mind the right information.

There are three basic ways to create your prosperity mentally:

1- Writing

2-In Pictures

3-In Words

Creating a captivating vision of the life you want is one of the most effective strategies for achieving the life of your dreams and bringing more prosperity to you. This vision statement will be like a compass to guide you to make the best decisions, and take the best actions that will help propel you toward your bigger and fuller life. A Vision Statement for prosperity will create a clearer path for your life.  With out a statement of what you want, life pretty much “just happens” to you.

By acknowledging that we have a unique purpose on this planet you will be able to key into the perfect Vision Statement for Prosperity for you. So, how do you create your Vision Statement?  I invite you to follow these simple steps and give it a try:

  1. Pick a place that inspires you, and where you won’t be interrupted so you can tune in with yourself.  It can be in your home or out in nature what ever feels inspiring to you.  You might want to have a special journal or pretty paper that you will write your vision on.  Make it special because it is!
  2. Don’t play small – Make sure your Vision is big enough and interesting enough to really get you motivated and excited. Dream big and don’t hold back. Remember, your greatest vision for your life will always be outside of your comfort zone.
  3. Use a Self-Reflective question – Ask yourself “What do I want to create in my life?” Based on your values, what motivates you? What would you like your life to look like? and then answer: “Why?”.
  4. Write it as if it is happening in the present – The mind only deals with the present – the now.  It is always creating from the present. You can start by stating “I am so happy and grateful now that _____” Fill in the blank with the things you desire to create.
  5. Charge your Vision with emotion – make sure you use words that have power to move you to action.  How will it feel when you have your desire fulfilled?  How will your life be different?
  6. Add details – Your Vision should have specifics of the results you want to achieve in your life and the feelings you want to experience. Don’t waste time and energy trying to make it perfect, just write it in a way that excites you.  Write it as though you are inside of the experience and it is happening right now.

Put this statement somewhere where you will see it often so you can read it again and again and imagine that it is happening.

Here is a vision board for prosperity that is on my wall right now

By now most of you have at least heard of vision boards if not made one yourself already.  They were popularized by the movie The Secret.  I am a great proponent of the movie The Secret, but I feel it fell short of truly showing what it takes to make the Law of Attraction work and has left in its wake many people who feel shame because they can’t make it work in their lives.  What I want to give you in this 12 Part Series on Prosperity is some ideas of how to make it work and what it takes.  It isn’t as easy as holding out your hand, saying OM and watching whatever you desire to appear like magic.  It takes ground work.

You have written your Prosperity Vision Statement and now you are going to create an image of it.  The picturing power of the mind turns your thinking from “I can’t have this” or “It will never happen to me” to hope and belief and your mind begins to accept that “It can happen to me” and “It will happen to me”, because we are showing it images of it “happening” to us.  The more you work with your Vision Board the stronger that belief will become.

Because your mind responds strongly to visual stimulation you will actually strengthen and stimulate your emotions by creating a Vision Board for Prosperity.  Once your emotions are engaged in creating prosperity the vibrations created by them will activate the energy that activates the Law of Attraction.  “A picture is worth a thousand words,”  and your Vision Board for Prosperity is just that.

You defined your dreams, so now it’s time to illustrate them visually.

How to create a vision board that depicts the future you wish to create.

Find pictures that represent or symbolize the experiences, feelings, and possessions you want to attract into your life, and place them in your board.  Have fun with the process! Use photographs, magazine cutouts, pictures from the Internet–whatever inspires you. Be creative. At this point grab any picture that speaks to you and put it in a pile.  Later you will choose the ones that speak the most powerfully about your vision.

Consider including a picture of yourself in your board. If you do, choose one that was taken in a happy moment.  Some people get a small mirror and place in the middle of the board so when you are looking at your board you are always part of the picture.  This is important because it will help your mind see you in the vision.

You will also want to post your affirmations, inspirational words, quotations, and thoughts here. Choose words and images that inspire you and make you feel good.

Use only the words and images that best represent your vision of prosperity, and words that inspire positive emotions in you. Remember that prosperity impacts mind, body, spiritual and mental components so thing about health, wellness, wealth, fun, joy and play when choosing your images.  Keep it simple! There is beauty in simplicity and clarity. Too many images and too much information will be distracting and harder to focus on.

When you are finished find a place to hand your Vision Board for prosperity where you will see it often so you can look at it and program your mind as to what you want to create.  It is important to remember this is a process and not to get discouraged if things don’t start to manifest immediately. For changes that will have far-reaching effects, it takes time for the pictured good to be absorbed by the subconscious, feeling nature.  Remember you are re-programming your mind and that takes time.  That is why it is important to create three different ways to create prosperity in your mind: writing, images and words.  Each will touch a different part of your brain.

Your brain will work tirelessly to achieve the statements you give your subconscious mind. And when those statements are the affirmations and images of your goals, you are destined to achieve them!

“By first listing your desires and then picturing them, you create your good on the invisible plane.  You gather the substance (“gold dust”) of the universe together on the invisible plane.  But it is through the spoken word of prosperity that your words then move on the invisible substance, from it as definite results, and give it birth in the visible world.”   Catherine Ponder

That is really powerful if you think about it!   The ancients knew about the power of sound and when you speak your vision out loud you are creating with sound.  You can work wonders in your life by affirming prosperity out loud for just five minutes a day. This could include reading your vision statement out loud as well as saying affirmations.

I would create just one powerful affirmation that you can copy and put around the house.  Make it powerful by including the spirit of what you work with, such as God, Angels, you Divine Inner Self.  What ever resonates as power for you.  You want to create something you can believe in and that will allow you to trust the process.  At first it might feel strange and that is okay.  When creating your affirmation look at both your vision statement and your vision board and pull your affirmation from their.  You can also add your affirmation at the end of your vision statement and put a copy of it on your board.  This with strengthen its power.

Here is an example that I might use for myself:

Now it is important that you let go of attachment to how prosperity will look when it comes into your life and stay open to the element of surprise.  The more you hold on to a particular outcome the more you close out all the possibilities and ones that might exceed your expectations.  At this point TRUST is most important!

Thank you for coming on this journey of creating prosperity with me.  I will see you in the next installment: Prosperity Consciousness Part 6 or 12
